Senior of the Week: Gabriel Prado
Gabriel Prado was a candidate of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program while at Booker T. Washington High School. He became an AP Scholar with Distinction, National Hispanic Scholar, and a National Merit Finalist when he was a senior. Gabriel was a part of a tutoring organization at school called Peer 2 Peer, where he tutored students in math.
Also, Gabriel was a member of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB), an organization that helps manage many activities held at Booker T. There, he was the senior leader of TAB's naturalization ceremony project that was held at the school's auditorium. He was a member of the National Honor Society, where he volunteered in community service projects. Gabriel was a part of Green Team, a club that did environmental activities. Further, Gabriel was in Booker T's tennis team, where he played #1 singles during senior year.
Gabriel plans on attending Carnegie Mellon University, where he will be pursuing a degree in engineering.
